Successful commissioning

Towards the end of 2019 and as planned, SMS ELOTHERM successfully commissioned the first EloForge L at our long term and good customer thyssenkrupp Metalurgica in Puebla, Mexico.
The installation has a capacity 800 kW and can heat up to 2.0 t/h material for the forging press.
The equipment has a modern LLC Converter to allow working with a constant and high cos phi, which reduces energy consumption and costs.
The fully automatic emptying device enables forging to the last part thus avoiding production losses.
thyssenkrupp uses this installation with a completely refurbished press to forge piston blanks.
